Position: Development Assistant
Description: The Children's Scholarship Fund (CSF) aims to maximize educational opportunity at all income levels by offering tuition assistance for needy families and promoting a diverse and competitive education environment. Since its founding in 1998, Children's Scholarship Fund has provided scholarships to more than 96,000 children across the United States. CSF has earned a 4-star rating (highest available) from Charity Navigator for fiscal responsibility and efficiency. The Fund has an opening for a full-time Development Assistant. The position will be located at the organization’s main office in midtown Manhattan. This is a great opportunity for a candidate interested in gaining experience in the development operations of a high-revenue non-profit with a small staff. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree with some office experience. Candidate must be hard-working, reliable, with excellent communication skills, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively with staff. Basic office software skills and some layout and web experience required. Experience with Access databases, Photoshop, Pagemaker or other design software preferred. Responsibilities include: • Conducting prospect and donor research • Assisting in layout and design work for organization publications • Processing donor contributions and acknowledgements • Assisting with preparation of mass mailings • Maintaining electronic and physical donor files • Other administrative duties as needed CSF offers a competitive salary and a full benefits package.
